A. Clay Holder, Executive VP, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Holder has served as EVP and Chief Financial Officer since April 1, 2024. Mr. Holder joined MAA in 2017 as SVP and Chief Accounting Officer. He previously spent seven years in multiple accounting and finance roles at AutoZone, Inc. Prior to AutoZone, Mr. Holder began his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen and Deloitte. Mr. Holder graduated cum laude from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Accountancy and earned a Master of Professional Accountancy, magna cum laude also from Mississippi State University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Tennessee and a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council.
